The first reference to the estate of San Martino a Cecione appears in 1163. San Martino is located in Panzano, in the heart of Chianti Classico, in a very picturesque situation typical of Tuscany, with glimpses of medieval towns, woods and vineyards all around. Our agriturismo consists of recently renovated apartments offering every comfort, including the finest mattresses and air conditioning.

For our guests we organise wine tastings, and we will also be pleased to have you visit the cellars.

For each season of the year we arrange events and initiatives linked to the products that are in season:

September/October: the wine harvest

November: new oil

July: threshing of the wheat

We also have a splendid outdoor pool, with magnificent views over the valley, which is available to our guests from May to September.

Our guests also have access to mountain bikes and a patio with panoramic views, as well as full use of the garden with barbecue and a common laundry area.

There are so many wonderful ways to spend your days when you visit Renzo Marinai. Piazza Bucciarelli, the square at the centre of Panzano, is less than 30-minute stroll away along quiet back roads, and once there you can enjoy a perfect coffee or a cold drink in one of the little cafes or restaurants.

There’s plenty to see and do around Panzano – fine restaurants, specialty stores, wine shops, and the most famous butcher in the world, Dario Cecchini with his “Antica Macelleria Cecchini” shop and restaurant.

Many of our guests have been coming to us for years. We treasure our clients, old and new, and it is always the aim of Tom, Jan and the entire team to greet our friends with the warmest of welcomes and to share with them the wonderful history, atmosphere and passion of Renzo Marinai.
